As I see it the succes of your program has always been the type of music as well as the humorous patter. The interjection last friday of a screechy skwawky guitar pickin female singing a travesty of Indian Summer was entirely foreegn to your usual program. Here is something to consider for the prescription drug costs. Do you remember that country that you walked home from after 9/11/2001 ? Ever heard of dual citizenship ? It is possible for medical personnel to have registries in both the U.S. and Canada in a manner similar to a dual citizenship. If they have
prescription writing authority and they hold a medical registry in Canada and the U.S., the prescription can be faxed to Canada, filled and shipped back to the patient at a significant cost reduction. In your position as a patient, you might encourage your health care provider to apply for a medical license in Canada. In your role as a web page manager, you might create a link to a listing of healthcare providers that have licenses to practice medicine in Canada. They are out there. You might obtain this information by encouaging your listeners to forward the names of their healthcare providers with dual registries to you. I'm sure you have heard of the busloads of people driving to Canada to obtain cheaper drugs. If enough people start working all of the possible angles, perhaps we can get some relief. The legislation that was passed in Augusta seeking relief from these costs is tied up in the courts by Pharmca, the lobbying firm for the drug companies.

Been in Maine 3 years now, listening & enjoying your program. Been an aficionado since early 60's. Was involved in Jazz Club in San Bernardino, CA during mid-60's that booked the Circuit. One of the investors was DR with big living room and a full grand. Friday night and two Saturday night gigs, then over to the house for jam session and breakfast. MJQ, Jazz Crusaders, Chico Hamilton, Oscar Peterson, etc. Incredible music. Thanks for the trad focus. Me? Former Senior Electronics Test Engineer on Thomahawk and Advanced Stealth Cruise Missiles Programs at General Dynamics, Convair Aerospaace Division. Refugee Aerospace Engr. from the 1990 down-sizing. Moved to Oregon, worked at INTEL. Moved to Maine to love grand children. Still into the music. Communication with the dead is only a little more difficult than communication with an engineer. There is no end to the good we can do as people if we do not care who gets the credit. Nobody is normal.
