A Maine man doesn't need to look far to realize that we are well into fall. No, it's not the absence of boat trailers beside the road with only one wheel on them. And no, it's not the early morning frost, the cold rain and colorful leaves falling from maples that let the Maine native know that wind driven snow will soon be upon him. For when it's too cold to work comfortably outside, the Maine man notices, for the first time, that the year-old plastic on his foundation and windows must have crumbled in the summer sun and now needs to be replaced.
