The Thorn Birds

Did you watch the Thorn Birds on TV? My wife Marsha did. I only saw a few minutes of it where the hero was being punched out by Nazis in Italy. But then, a week later, I saw the same guy riding a horse in Australia.

I asked how he got from Italy to Australia and was told that he was working there with the wretched bees.

"Wretched bees? What's he doing with wretched bees?"

And she said, "Refugees, refugees. I wish you'd get a hearing aid."
